EAB has now for the third time received the contract to supply folding doors to BILTEMA in Halmstad
This time it is for BILTEMA’s 45,000 m2 warehouse being built along the E6 motorway at the northern entrance to Halmstad. Providing and installing 26 folding doors (total of previous deliveries is 68) will be carried out between 11th March and 11th November.
The concept applicable to the doors is the same as with the previous deliveries:
BILTEMA wants doors that last and require minimal service. They have selected the manual two-section folding doors from EAB, as they have few moving parts and do not require inspections. The folding doors can be opened with a simple operation, up to 180°, which reduces the risk of collisions.
The doors are fully galvanized, covered with heavy duty steel sheeting and are fitted with inbuilt epagnolettes with cylinder locking. BILTEMA has a very well-integrated security system, which is monitored from the office, to which the doors also are connected. In this way, they can immediately see if a door is closed and locked when they close up for the day.
"The collaboration with EAB has worked perfectly, and the straightforward approach has proven to be an effective concept," says Kent Frennesson, Logistics Manager at Retlog AB (part of the BILTEMA group).
In the Retail Warehouse/BILTEMA project, EAB has worked with the MTA Bygg och Anläggning AB.
